Community Coalition Meeting with Officials

Please join us this Friday August 1^st at 2pm for a community discussion with Congressmember Karen Bass, Assemblymember Reggie Jones- Sawyer and Senator Holly Mitchell to discuss California’s 2014-2015 state budget and the opportunities to increase support for prevention and treatment programs in South Los Angeles.

Over the last 30 years, residents and social service providers in South Los Angeles have participated in advocacy efforts to increase the state’s investment in prevention and treatment.  This year, your testimony at the state hearings on Justice Re-Investment and the Re-Entry Town Hall with Assemblymember Jones-Sawyer, Senator Mitchell and Congressmember Bass made a difference in the state budget process!

Let’s celebrate our policy victories and discuss how to seize these opportunities to improve the safety net for poor and working families in South LA.
