Join us on Thursday, September 25, 2014 as we unveil our plan to address youth homelessness in South Los Angeles. Our theme, ”Homeless but Not Hopeless” has been the inspiration to engage over 300 leaders and stakeholders representing nonprofits, faith institutions, law enforcement, government, and residents committed to improving the quality of life for our most vulnerable TAY population.
Through our community planning process, we have developed a road map to increase investments, coordinate services, impact public policy, lead advocacy, and expand housing opportunities for TAY in the South Los Angeles region. We will unveil a comprehensive strategic plan that reflects inputs and solutions from key stakeholders, including TAY.
Speakers include:
Mark Ridley-Thomas, Los Angeles County Board of Supervisor, Second District
Honorable Holly Mitchell, California State Senator, 26th District
Kerry Morrison, LAHSA Board of Commissioners Chair and Executive Director of the Hollywood Property Owners Alliance
Ray Brewer, Los Angeles Field Office Director, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
