Fourth Annual Spring into Health Festival

South Los Angeles Community Fair Brings Free Health Screenings, Cooking and Fitness Demonstrations, Product Giveaways and More

Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science (CDU), in collaboration with North Area Neighborhood Development Council (NANDC) and the City of Los Angeles, Department of Parks and Recreation will host Spring Into Health, a community event designed to raise public awareness of local health & wellness resources, promote healthy lifestyles, and give confidence to individuals seeking responsibility for their own health. Located at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center, community organizations will provide health resources and information, product giveaways, music and entertainment, as well as games and prizes for children.

• Free dental and health screenings, include hypertension,
diabetes and fluoride treatment
• Earth Day activities
• Cooking demonstrations
• Outdoor obstacle course
• Bike, scooter and skateboard raffle
